God’s Got This!

Happy Thursday!

I can’t believe it’s already almost the weekend again!

Just over a week until my brother leaves. I’m sad about it, but I’m so thankful God allowed him to visit for the summer!

It can be so easy to dwell on the littlest of things.

“These people are driving so slow”

“I have to go to the dentist…ugh”

“I have a pimple!”

“My car’s check engine light just came on”

“I don’t have a boyfriend/girlfriend yet”

“I slept past my alarm, my hair looks awful and I have no time to make coffee”

We are blessed to live in America, where our worries may only extend to slow drivers, acne, and sleeping late.

As I was driving the other day with my brother, I mentioned to him something that I was worried about. He immediately replied, “Oh, don’t worry about that, God will take care of that.” He is such a smart brother. Why hadn’t I thought of that instead of worrying?

Just like how Thomas doubted Jesus, we too can doubt God.

It may seem like he is not near when we cry out to Him. We intensify the problem to make it look like a tsunami compared to a light rain.

” Live according to the size of our God, not the size of our problems.” – Lisa Bevere

No matter what we may be going through, God has got the problem in His hands. He has us in His hands. Isn’t that a comforting thought?

God has a perfect plan. When it seems He is directing us in a different direction than we planned, we start to doubt His plans.

Psalm 27: 1, 14

“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

“Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.”

I read Psalm 27 this morning. Taking time to read and meditate on the words in Psalm 27, I couldn’t help but think how much I needed those words today. It’s amazing when God leads us to a certain passage just when we need it.

We don’t have to fear about the future. We don’t have to worry about day to day issues like acne or when we will get the next cup of coffee. We don’t have to doubt God’s plans.

He has each of us in His hands. He will show us the way as we spend time with Him.

We may be tempted to doubt, worry and fear.

“Temptation is a test…pass God’s or pass Satan’s”

No matter what you may be facing today. God’s got it. He has you. Don’t give up.

Run to Him and seek His face. He will never leave us. He is right beside us every step of the way!
