This past weekend, I drove to the airport to  pick up my brother, who will be staying with me for a couple of months.  I think I’m more excited than he is and he would probably tell you that that is true.

He has been here for just a couple of days so far, but he has already made me laugh so many times.  Too many times to count and it’s only been a few days! Did I  mention he is here for a few months? Needless to say, there will be many more laughs and smiles to ensue.

I love to laugh and smile. Who doesn’t? Doesn’t it feel good when something is so funny we laugh a gut-wrenching laugh?!

“A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.”

 

 

(Who can forget this famous quote from a popular Christmas movie?!)

It can be hard to smile when things may not be going right. Sometimes, it can be a matter of deciding to put a smile on our face  and pressing on.

Smiling can immediately lift someone’s day. Imagine smiling at someone and being told you just made their whole day – that is an incredible feeling.

There is just so much to smile about! We may have things going wrong in our lives, but if we are a child of God, we also have so many things going right! If we are healthy, have a healthy family, have a car that runs, a place to sleep, food in the pantry…we are so blessed! Even if we only have a few of those things, we are blessed! God takes care of His children! That’s something to smile about!

Look for the positives in life! When we focus on the positive, we are more likely to have a smile on our face.

Did someone just say something funny? Laugh. Laugh away.

Smiling is contagious and is one of the most beautiful accessories we could ever wear!
