I am honored to have been nominated by Lauri at Lauri Hawley for the Barnabas Award!
Acts: 11:22-23
“Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch. Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.”
Barnabas encouraged the people in Antioch to seek God. We should all strive to be a Barnabas!
Thank you, Lauri, for the nomination, what a way to encourage me on this writing journey!
The way this Award works:
Thank the person who nominated you, and share their blog.
Think of five bloggers that encourage and inspire you and nominate them.
List five things about yourself.
Lastly, ask your nominees five questions. Why five? Because five is the number that signifies grace.
I Nominate These Five Encouraging and Inspiring Bloggers:

Five Fun Facts About Me:
- I’m a millennial that loves oldie music that was before my time…who am I?!
- I have two adorable nieces. I can’t wait to see them soon!
- I am deathly afraid of sharks and when I was younger watched Jaws in hopes of riding my fear of sharks…in fact, it just worsened the fear.
- I was almost stung by a stingray in the Cayman Islands. I was at Stingray City with my family. We were surrounded by the largest stingrays I’ve ever seen. A stingray came behind me and its tail hugged the back of my legs. I froze in place waiting for the sting to come but it never did, thankfully.
- I love traveling. I’ve been blessed to be able to travel various places in the world and I’m always looking forward to my next trip. I think it’s important to see the world that God created!
Five Questions and Answers:
1) Who in your life is your biggest encourager?
Lately, my brother has been a big encourager in my writing.
2) How do you see yourself as being encouragement to others?
I enjoy encouraging others in their walk with God through writing.
3) When was the last time someone gave you words of encouragement?
A few days ago, a friend that sends prayers via text, sent a prayer that encouraged me in the day I was having. I automatically overwhelmed myself with several things and her prayer and another friend’s words were so encouraging that day.
4) When you are down, what encourages you to get back up and keep pressing on?
Sometimes, I can be encouraged to press on by randomly stumbling on encouraging words either on another blog or an inspirational quote. Inspirational quotes can help spark a flame to keep pressing on, but God is my mainstay. He is the ultimate one that can send the encouragement needed to keep pressing on. So thankful that each day is a gift from God. Each day we have a fresh start.
5) Who was your greatest encourager when you first accepted Christ?
My parents and my Sunday school teacher at the time.

Thank you for sharing encouraging authors with us! I’ve added a few to my library already. 😊
I’m sorry about your shark fear…I live on Cape Cod, and the increasing shark population is becoming its own tourist attraction. I know you love to travel, just don’t travel here for the swimming! 😁

I’m actually originally from MA! I’ve heard about the increasing shark population and glad I haven’t made my way there when I come home. 😀
