Fall is slowly creeping into the hot Southern air that has overstayed it’s welcome, at least in this New Englander’s eyes.
Fall festivals are in full swing with corn mazes, hay rides, caramel apples, pumpkins and surprise hot air balloon rides.
I love unexpected blessings, especially when they come during a hard week that has just begun.
When tough days and weeks come, it can feel like there is no end in sight. We may be so wrapped up in the thick of a tough day and week, we are sure drowning will be our fate without giving thought to the future that will include days that aren’t so tough.
“Look for something positive in each day, even if some days you have to look a little harder”.
Jer. 29:11
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
God knows what our futures look like, even if we are scrambling to make it through the day and doubt there is much in store for us, which couldn’t be further from the truth.
God has a purpose for each of us.
We can’t let the hard times be an excuse for giving up. Satan would love for us to give up. Why not prove him wrong by never giving up?
I Peter 5:7
“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
God simply wants us to give Him our burdens, whatever they may be.
We just have to place a mustard seed-sized faith in Him and let Him take control. He knows what He is doing.
While we may feel stuck in an endless string of trials, look up. Look up away from the trials and look for all the good that surrounds you. Look for the unexpected blessings.
Why not be a blessing amidst the trials?
We may never know what someone is going through.
Let’s choose to be kind.
Know that whatever you may be struggling with ~ it’s going to be okay. You are not alone. If you know Christ, God is always with you. God is love and He loves you more than you could ever know!
Love this!
