John 10:10

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

 

Do you ever just feel completely at peace? You know God’s got whatever you may be carrying on your shoulders. Yet when we feel that way, Satan loves to try and take that peace away.

When Satan tried to get into my head earlier, I swiftly booted him out the door.

Just now, as I was thinking of being content where God has me, I thought about how the enemy would love to try and squash any semblance of a smile off of my face.

He would love to sneak in and to destroy any hope I have or distract me from focusing on what God would have for me.

The enemy can make us think a pebble in our path is the size of Mt. Everest.

The enemy knows how to whisper nothingness into our minds and yet it’s not nothingness. We listen to the lies and decide to declare the lies as truth.

Any negativity, judging thoughts, unkindness, etc., is from the father of darkness not the Father of light.

Any time we parade our mind with doubt or become paralyzed by fear, the enemy is cheering us on in hopes we will continue to stay right where we are.

Sometimes, we give the enemy the best seat in the house, right on the 50 yard line. We pull out his chair and serve him popcorn.

But you know what?

It’s time we kicked him out of the stadium because He doesn’t belong anywhere near us.

The enemy doesn’t care about us one bit. His sole purpose is to destroy us, but we can’t let him win.

God has already secured the victory.

We just have to decide whose side we are on.

Are we going to choose the side of darkness or the side of light that will always win?

I personally would like to be on the side that will always win, but because I’m human, I know I may fall prey to the enemy’s tactics, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to let the enemy win.

Deut. 20:4

“For the Lord your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.”

With the Lord on our side, we will never fall.
