Hatred. Shaming. Not good enough. Too short…
Even though I do not know much about fires, I do know that something causes a fire to start. Whether it’s a match, a candle, or something else, a fire is started and has some form of fuel added to the fire to keep it going. If not, it will eventually burn out.
Since I am from New England, I am a Patriots fan. Their success has been hated on by so many people. The hatred for them only fuels their fire to be even better.
Tom Brady posted this:
“Fate whispers to the warrior
“You cannot withstand the storm”
and the warrior whispers back
“I am the storm”.
Having Tom Brady or anyone else say “I am the storm”, we better watch out for whatever may come next.
Another great sports player, Mia Hamm, stated:
“I am building a fire, and everyday I train, I add more fuel. At just the right moment, I light the match.”
So many of us have been told we are not good enough.
What will we do about it?
Will we let it get us down?
Will we crumble under pressure?
Or will we choose to rise from the demeaning comments and let the negativity fuel our fire?
I choose the latter.
Especially since I have two nieces now, I want to be a positive influence to them and to the world.
I don’t want to be known as a quitter, even if it may be tempting.
The absolute best way to gain the strength needed to never give up is by trusting in God.
Deut. 20:1
“When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not afraid of them: for the Lord thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.”
The Lord is with us every step of the way. All we have to do is trust Him.
Don’t give up!
“I was told once that I wasn’t good enough,
that alone is enough to fuel my fire to never give up.”
