Unexpected Wins

Happy Tuesday!

Hope you all had a great weekend!

If you are interested in history/ royalty, you might have watched the royal wedding, although you might have cherished your sleep more. I almost pulled an all-nighter Friday night taking a quick nap from 1am to almost 4am. My friend and I woke up and began watching the hours of television coverage.

The lack of sleep had me yawning up a storm the past few days, which had me going to bed earlier than usual the past couple of nights.

Yesterday, right after work was a little league softball game for the girl’s I help coach.

I honestly wasn’t looking forward to it. The only reason being the lack of sleep that had me in an iron tight grip.

It was a beautiful day for softball and girls were doing so well. So well that they won the game. The best unexpected surprise. I was so excited and proud of the girl’s that we coach. After we won, I couldn’t help but think about how at first I wasn’t really looking forward to the game, since I was dreaming of sleep, but then we won the game and that all immediately drifted away.

This had me thinking how in our spiritual walk with God there may be things that we don’t look forward to. We wish we could just skip over certain areas or trials in our lives, but then God performs miracles. He works in mysterious ways.

If we have faith to trust in Him and allow Him to have His way, we should get ready and prepare our hearts for the amazing things that God will do.

Are we ready for the unexpected, whether good or bad? Are we fully trusting in Him?

Jeremiah 33:3

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”

Deuteronomy 31:6

“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”
