When Life Gives You Lemons

Hello!

It’s Monday and time for some Motivational Monday!

“When life gives you lemons, make lemonade”.

It seems like life loves to throw lemons our way. Sometimes life may be great and it may feel like a warm summer day drinking lemonade. Those days are awesome. The days when we get lemons – not so much.

I realize some people love the taste of lemons. I’m not one of those people unless you add some sugar and water to those lemons.

I just found the image above on Pinterest and thought it fit perfectly for this post.

“Squeeze the day!” – the lemon version of “Seize the day!”

Life gets hard sometimes. Some of us get thrown some really sour lemons.

So, how do we make lemonade?

Making the best of a situation. Looking at the positive. Not giving up.

Trusting in God that He knows what’s best for us.

It can be so hard to look at the positive at times.

I can run to God and ask “Why?”

Looking at the bigger picture, God knows that the lemons in our life are for our good. They are there to help us improve.

When I receive lemons, I don’t immediately think of the positive. My human self can get confused, disappointed, and bitter. If I stay on that path, I will continue in a downward spiral, which won’t do anyone any good.

It can be hard to trust and not give up.

Dig into God’s Word. He is our strong tower. When we run to Him, we are safe. He will help us.

He wants us to use those lemons no matter what they may be for His good.

Those lemons may include cancer, loss of job, a car that doesn’t run, etc.

It can be hard not to give up. Even making lemonade may seem impossible.

“For with God nothing shall be impossible.” – Luke 1:37

With God nothing is impossible! He will help us with the lemons life throws at us.

So, when life gives us lemons let’s squeeze the day and make some lemonade!

Have a lovely Monday!
