Isaiah 26:3

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”

Have you ever been completely at peace?

About a week ago, my nerves were frazzled. Decisions were to be made. Wondering when we would finally find out who would be America’s next president.

The day we knew for sure who would be inaugurated on January 20, my nerves weren’t frazzled one bit.

Why? Did I not care? Was I glad about the outcome?

No, not really, but I knew that God has a plan.

He has always had a plan.

No matter what happens on Earth, God is always right beside His children helping them every step of the way, if we will let Him help us.

I was at complete peace because I know my God is greater than anything or anyone.

If we keep our minds on Christ and fully trust in Him, we can be at peace.

Phil. 4:7-8

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

If I decide to spend my day dwelling on all the negative things around me, I’m not going to have a great day. No one would.

God wants us to keep our eyes on Him.

He is in control.

He got each of us in His hands.

There is no reason to fret. God is on our side. We know He wins in the end.

We just need to fully rely on Him.

He can give us a peace like no other.
